Passport Renewals

The U.S. Embassy in Bangui can assist American Citizens in applying for and renewing their U.S. passport. Passport renewals are facilitated through the U.S. Embassy in Yaounde, Cameroon and require approximately one month’s processing time.
American citizens in the C.A.R. are encouraged to keep their passport up-to-date, and to re-apply for a new passport several months in advance of the expiration date of their current passport. For more information, please visit the website of the U.S. Embassy in Yaoundé:
